Visual design and coding fundamentals
This issue of Networked Magazine is the outcome of a workshop held in the PhD program in Visual and Media Studies at IULM University Milan. Participants crafted together an online publication, curating articles that showcased their ongoing research practices. The purpose of the hands-on workshop was not only educational but also initiatory. It offered a hands-on introduction to HTML, CSS and Javascript fundamentals, enabling participants to apply coding strategies to their articles.
Networked Magazine is a project that thrives on novel ways for making the web and hands-on approaches to a web in the making. It offers a workshop-oriented approach to online publishing by enabling connections between coding fundamentals and the newest perspectives in visual design and digital culture.
